This porridge can be prepared with any whole grain; we generally use short or medium grain brown rice, sometimes with a blend of millet, barley, or steel cut oats.

Slow Cooker Whole Grain Porridge

Double chocolate whole grain slow cooker porridge takes less than fifteen minutes to prep and is ready to serve when you wake up!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole grain
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • pinch sea salt
  • 5 cups water

toppings

  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup hemp hearts

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to slow cooker. Stir to combine.
    Add all ingredients to slow cooker, mix.
  • Slow cook on low for 8 hours.
    Cooked on low for 8 hours.
  • Serve with toppings. Enjoy!
